Photography by Helen and John - Profile
Helen`s Profile
I had always had an interest in photography and decided to take it further, after having professional photographs done of my two children. I attended a City & Guilds night school Photography class at Oldham College, were I gained much experience in all aspects of photography, from setting up and taking the shots, to developing the film and photographs. I gained my City & Guilds certificate in 1996.
Since then, I worked as a wedding photographer for Wedding Day Photos for around seven years, where I gained valuable experience. This was one side of Photography that I loved, to be involved in making someones special day a memorable one.
I was also always on hand to capture special moments on film for my relatives and friends.
John`s Profile
I developed an interest in photography at an early age and attended a night school City & Guilds course at Counthill School in the early 80`s.
After completing the course, I started to do portraiture shots, using Studio lighting and also enjoyed taking photographs of cars, motorbikes etc.
I got involved in Legal photography work in around 1984, which entailed taking photographs of victims of crime, road traffic accidents, industrial and medical injuries and scenes of crime, producing sets of photographs for submission to the Courts and CICA.
In the 1990`s I started to do wedding photography, which I continued to do until around 1998. It was around this time that I started Lady Jayne Limousines and my focus has been on this until now. Whilst still carrying on with my Legal & Social photography on a smaller scale.
Summary
We have been asked to photograph weddings for relatives and friends, their comments have encouraged us to go back on our past and take up photography professionally.
