The first thing you need to decide is, are you booking with price in mind and do you want the best service possible, as we all know, no two limos or limousine hire companies are the same.

- A common trick that limousine companies do to guarantee they take prom car bookings is they offer you a cheap price to take your job and then when someone calls for the same prom night or date they will then give higher price, if they get that job, they will call you to cancel (sometimes) that then leaves you ringing around trying to get another limo and there will probably be none available.
- Try and visit the premises of the company and view the cars, limousines, don’t just be happy with what you see on their website, some Limo companies will show limo's they don‘t have? All our cars on our website shows the registration number and the car you book with Lady Jayne is the one you get.
- Vehicles that carry more than 8 passengers should be COIF (Certificate of Initial Fitness) and the driver has to have a PCV or PSV licence to drive it.
- Ask if they have the correct hire/reward insurance and do they mind showing you.
- Wedding car companies DO NOT have the correct insurance or licences to cover school prom car hire.
- Most important do they have their drivers CRB checked.
- Are they members of the National Limousine and Chauffeur Association.
- Do they take a deposit & can you pay by card over the phone or is it all CASH only.
- Do you get written confirmation of your booking & payment.

To give you a guide of what it will cost you to hire a limousine for your school prom car hire for a one hour journey out plus a return at the end of the evening: works out at £55 per person, dependant on which Limousine and number of passengers. (8 seats £440.00 & 16 seats £880.00)
One way Limos hire for a local prom is around £40.00 per person (8 seats £320.00 - 16 seats £640.00) A surcharge may be added for distance venues this would be for fuel & drivers time.
